Medusa was one of three Gorgon sisters, who had wings and snakes for hair, and armed with a bow. To look at her hideous face would turn a human into a stone statue. She was a great monster and feared throughout the land. Our hero Perseus was tricked by the deceitful king into pursuing to behead Medusa. Armed with powerful weapon gifts from the gods, Perseus set off on his mission.
