Theseus and Minotaur

Theseus let himself be taken as a sacrifice to the Minotaur so that he could slay the beast. The Minotaur lives in the Labyrinth of course, and so Theseus brought a ball of yarn with him, leaving a trail behind him, to find his way out. The princess heard of his mission and gave him a sword which he hid under his robes.

Of course this myth had many specific versions, I put together some pieces to make the illustration.
